Every now and then a project comes along that just gets to you. This story of Abraham Lincoln as told through the eyes of his youngest son was so full of heart and Kris Kristoferrson's Lincoln was so honest that finding a musical match for it was a true exercise in "less is more". I used an all acoustic ensemble (9 musicians) and even enlisted the "Americas Brass Band" to play the period pieces on their Civil War era instruments.
