George recently recorded his score to the new Mike Myers film, The Love Guru. The film will be released by Paramount Pictures on June 20, 2008.

George spoke on the BMI panel at Sundance January 23rd and got to see some of the fellows he was an advisor to at the Sundance composer's Lab.

Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay will premiere at the South by Southwest film festival in February and Older Than America, a film George scored for director Georgina Lightning, is in competition there.

The Love Guru is Mike Myer's new film for Paramount and George has been hired to do the score. Release is set for June 20th.

George meet George: The Georges met for the first time on February 10th at a Funkadelic Concert. The resemblance is uncanny.

On December 15, George flies back to his hometown in Tennessee for the world premiere of his "Santa Clause Suite" by the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra. He put together a 7-minute suite of his Santa Clause scores and Disney intends to make it available for live performance as part of their catalogue.

Also, Varese Sarabande is releasing the full soundtrack of George's Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee score on Dec 18th, just in time for the holidays.

At Middle Tennessee State University and then again at "The Country Music Hall of Fame" in Nashville, George did a panel on Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee with the movie's writer, Daniel Giat, and director, Yves Simoneau. The University, his alma mater, awarded him the title of Honorary Professor.

George just finished scoring Harold and Kumar 2 and says the movie is hilarious. It's due out April 4th.

George didn't win the Emmy last night, but he and his family had a great time at the ceremony and the Governor's Ball that followed.

Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee received 17 EMMY nominations today (the most in EMMY history). George is among them with his first EMMY nomination for best original score.
